Child sex trafficking – Federal Prison for Child Sexual Abuse Trafficking Conspirator

Lubbock TX Woman Sentenced Five Years for Child Sexual Abuse Trafficking Conspiracy

Child sexual abuse trafficking conspiracy committed by a 19 year old female admitted conspiring to place a minor female in prostitution and was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Sam R. Cummings of the Northern District of Texas, to five years in federal prison following her guilty plea on a charge of conspiracy to engage in sexual abuse trafficking of a child.

Her co-conspirator, a 25 year old man was convicted by a Lubbock, Texas jury of sex trafficking of a child on August 24, 2011, and was sentenced to 405 months imprisonment on December 22, 2011. His female conspirator admitted conspiring to involve the teenage female in prostitution and took photographs of the minor female and posted them on the Internet to advertise escort services.

Nationwide Initiative

The Department of Justice launched a nationwide initiative in May 2006, called Project Safe Childhood. Local, state and federal resources unite resources to better locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet; and identify and rescue victims.This Child Sexual Abuse Trafficking Conspiracy case was brought as part of the Project Safe Childhood to help combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
