Wishing You and Your Family the Best in 2019!
It is another year. 2018 seemed to really go by fast. Christmas came then it was time to get ready for New Year’s Eve. My husband and I invited a few close friends to our home and we brought in New Year’s 2019 together. Confetti was all over the floor, although it was fun celebrating. The next day we had a bit of cleaning to do.
Hope for Children Foundation
We wrapped up the end of the year by participating with the Dallas Police Department Toy Drive and toy delivery in December. On the 19th of December we hosted our 2018 Hope for Children Foundation Gala at the Hyatt Regency Dallas Hotel. We had so much fun with our family, extended family, friends, supporters and the Dallas Police Department Santa Cops. My parents, James W. Hope and Fannie Louise Hope were recognized for Hope for Children Foundation being named in their honor back in 1998. Mrs. Fannie Hope was present to receive their award. My father passed away in 1990. The award is really very beautiful.
Dallas Police Department Santa Cops
During the Gala, Hope for Children Foundation presented the Dallas Police Department Santa Cops with a special Award honoring their service to Dallas children and families. The Dallas Police Department Santa Cops have been established for more than twenty years. Officer Meagan Mulvihill along with many others organized the Dallas Police Department Toy Drive and toy distribution day. Her husband, Mr. Mulvihill cooked barbecue for the Dallas Police Department Santa Cops, Dallas Police Department Santa Cops Volunteers, Hope for Children Foundation Volunteers and others. We all ate after we finished delivering the toys to children and the families. It was truly a wonderful day for all of us who participated in this magical time. It is always an honor to support the Dallas Police Department Santa Cops Toy Drive and the children.
